Molecular and Nanoscale Physics (MNP) Facilities
Our Molecular and Nanoscale Physics (MNP) research group is supported by state-of-the-art laboratory spaces and instrumentation designed to meet the demands of advanced research. Most of the group’s laboratories and instrumentation form part of the Surface Science Facility, providing comprehensive tools for surface and nanoscale analysis.
- Access and Availability
- University Members: Facilities can be accessed by University of Leeds members for a fee, offering an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration and cutting-edge research support.
- External Access: Access may also be possible for external academic and industrial users. For those interested, we encourage you to get in touch to discuss potential collaborations, project requirements, and associated costs.
- Available Instrumentation
The Surface Science Facility includes a diverse range of high-performance equipment, such as:- Advanced spectroscopy and microscopy tools for nanoscale imaging and analysis.
- Lithography (hard and soft) for microfluidic applications
- Surface characterization instruments.
- Specialist Support
Our facilities are managed by highly trained technical staff and researchers who are available to provide:- Consultation: Guidance on project planning and instrument selection.
- Training: Induction and training on the use of equipment for both novice and experienced users.
- Collaboration: Assistance with experiment setup and data interpretation, ensuring reliable and reproducible results.
